Some great teachers, but the CRIME IS RIDICULOUS. They really need to stop accepting 'ANYBODY' ....This will be my last semester due to the ridiculous amount of crime!

My name is Ashli Huggins, I am a Rising sophomore, psychology major and my freshman year has been everything I ever wanted from meeting new people to earning a great GPA to start my college experience, and getting to know my professors as the semesters went on. Virginia State University has molded me to become a better person so far and to remember where I came from and also to help me remember who I am as a young lady. Both of my parents attended Virginia State but they've always told me to make my own path here and I'll do just that. With the help of this wonderful university and great friends that I have met, my sophomore year will be nothing short of amazing
VSU is the perfect school for me! I feel like the school is small enough as to where I can get to know many of my peers, and not just be a number. There are so many people on campus, both students and adults, who will go above and beyond to help you in anything. The professors are not only just there to teach us and let us be on our way, they are open and willing to get to know us on a personal level. The professors give us advice to keep as token for our future as well. In the end the environment is very comfortable and I have no problem being myself here. I am a rising Sophomore, a part of the Honors program, and a TIP Leader for this upcoming year, and there is absolutely no doubt in my mind about the success that I will achieve at this University.
