I like to walk there for my exercise. Great walk on the path beside the river!
Great trail access, swimming, try kayaking up the canal and back down the river. Also check out the trail at appomattox water authority.
The main parking lot was filthy. The trash can over running and there was glass all alone the waters edge other than that it was a beautiful time
Upgrades are being done. Has fishing areas, newer playground, and wonderful river sites and walking trails.
This is a great park. Frequently I walk along the canal on the trail after crossing the bridge. The trail is pretty much flat and even and you can meet other people enjoying the trai with thei children or dogs or noth. It is also a good place to fish.
