The room itself was beautiful, really spacious, and with nice accents like a desk lamp that dimmed at a touch, and soft lighting all around the tops of the walls that could be turned on or off with small switches. Cool.
They were still under some construction with improvements, so there were quite a few oddities to deal with: wires hanging out the air conditioner, shower water never got more than warm, exercise room had no TVs,... just to name a few. But, it was clean, and had good service. Oh, and it did have a pretty sizeable swimming pool.
I had a lovely stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Petersburg-Fort Lee. I was really impressed by the staff - I arrived long after midnight, but they still were just as cheery as pie, insisting it was no bother and wishing me a good night. A great way to arrive.
The hotel is a very modern and nice hotel located right off of I95. Although it is visible from the freeway, no noise is heard. The rooms are nice and the free breakfast is also very good. The pool is large and heated and the hot tub is very nice as well. The hotel was doing remodelling when I was staying here, but it was fine as it didn't affect our stay at all.
Recently drove from NY to Florida with my 3 year old son and stopped here to spend the night...It was a very pleasant experience the front desk lady that checked me in was very helpful and took care of us really quick...The room was nice and big and clean...The breakfast in the morning could of been a little better but it served it's purpose. The lady that checked us out was super nice and friendly to my son, and that goes a long way with me. Overall it was a pleasant experience, I would definitely stay again.
Best hotel / suite I have been. Clean with extremely friendly staff and excellent breakfast buffet with anything you would think of you would want to eat
There was no noise from any roads or other guests, and I slept great. Again points for the staff - I called for a late check-out and they agreed immediately (and still cheerfully!), without the pause that I sometimes get at other hotels.
Easy location right off 95, too. Absolutely no complaints, would love to stay here again. Thanks again to the staff for being so nice!
Excellent breakfast bar, genuinely good eggs, plus fresh pancakes, sausage, cereal, grits, and a lot of bread choices. They also offer a lot of whole grain choices in bread, which was an unusual but appreciated touch.
